Tri-City Pianos is proud to sell Kawai pianos. My father, who started Tri-City Pianos in 2007, worked for Kawai for 22 years, so he knows first hand what kind of company they are. I came on board in the early 2010’s and have come to admire their integrity. There is risk involved in purchasing pianos from half-way around the world. They arrive “sight unseen”. It is a testament to Kawai that they consistently meet the high standards they’ve set for themselves. I haven’t been disappointed yet.
In 2017, I was fortunate enough to be awarded the best mid-market salesperson in North America by Kawai. The honour came with a trip to Japan where I was given a tour of their Ryuyo factory in Hamamatsu. I was surprised to see how much of the piano-making process was done by hand. I naturally expected machines to assemble the thousands of components found in a piano action. Instead, I saw a sea of work benches filled with tools I’d never seen before with dozens and dozens of people skillfully using them. It explained much of why they have my confidence.
I know I sell Kawai pianos, so you would expect me to say nice things about them. That’s why I’ve included a link to the company profile of Kawai by The Piano Buyer, a non-partisan reviewer of pianos and piano companies. Kawai really is a good company that makes fantastic pianos.
